Andrew K. Thompson lives and works in Riverside, California. Thompson holds an MFA degree from the California State University, San Bernardino, and a BFA in Photography from the Academy of Art, San Francisco. His work has been exhibited throughout the United States including exhibitions at the AIPAD Photo Fair, Klotz Gallery in New York, Gallery 1/1 in Seattle, and two recent solo shows at the SRO Photo Gallery at Texas Tech University and C.A.C.t.T.U.S. Long Beach. Musings on his work have appeared on Saturday Night Live, Huffington Post, Norwegian television show The Golden Goal, Fox 5 News, Time Out New York, The Village Voice, Maxim Radio, L.A. Weekly, Artillery Magazine, Inland Empire Weekly, and KVC_aRts on 91.9 KVCR. His images have been published in Elle Magazine, Urban Italia, Rhythm Magazine, Time Out New York, The Village Voice, and Artvoices. He has written for Artvoices and Dotphotozine and the Manifest International Photography Annual 3. Curatorial projects include The Mysterious Burial Mask: Information and Evidence at the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art, the Highland House Sound Exhibition in Upland, CA, We Got Next at Untitled Art Projects in Los Angeles, and The Fun Art Show at Sputnik in Brooklyn, NY. He has received the Taewoong and Soonja Oh Kim Scholarship, the Maloof Scholarship, the Office of Student Research Grant, Associated Students Incorporated Travel Grant and the President’s Outstanding Team Award from California State University, San Bernardino. He has also been a professional wrestler and creator/promoter of Punk Rock Pillow Fight
